An Ellington Utility Crew is truly a “full sized” operation. When our company sends in a full utility crew, we usually mobilize a 75,000 lb. excavator, 50,000 lb. excavator, large rubber tire loader, dozer, sheepsfoot roller and trench compactors. Furthermore, an Ellington full crew is led by a project foreman and a team of six to seven men. Our philosophy is to ensure that all the resources necessary – including a highly-skilled work force and top of the line equipment – is in place at the project site to minimize downtime.

Clients can choose to use all the services offered by Ellington or just the services of one division based on need. In fact, our Utility Division, which was initially created to serve as a subcontractor to other grading contractors, continues to provide sewer and storm water services for other site work contractors.

Additionally we have a full time dedicated “punch crew” that works in conjunction with the normal utility crews.  The job of the punch crew is to prepare a project site for pre and post warranty final inspections with the municipal and state inspectors.  This extra step ensures very few issues arise from these inspections saving our clients money by greatly reducing delays in completion.
